I'd wish for Gabby's to be open on game nights, but that might be taking things too far. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372532189502857584.post-54125479077784379102012-07-25T07:53:45.072-05:002012-07-25T07:53:45.072-05:00Not many good homes in that part of the city. Give it a few years and things will likely improve.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372532189502857584.post-87898033357934835442012-07-25T00:09:34.835-05:002012-07-25T00:09:34.835-05:00William,

To answer a previous question, the signs were part of a Community Development Block Grant that SNAP was instrumental in procuring (before I moved into the neighborhood) that also included funds to renovate our community center, construct our neighborhood entrance sign and place crosswalks in the area. Wedgewood-Houston has been a great neighborhood for my wife and me in the time we have lived here, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for our area. Thanks again for posting!

Colby Sledge
Co-Chair, South Nashville Action People (SNAP)Colbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02153326292881243381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372532189502857584.post-41124138518696578032012-07-24T20:54:21.531-05:002012-07-24T20:54:21.531-05:00Chestnut Hill is a little farther north near Lafay...Chestnut Hill is a little farther north near Lafayette. I agree that the area near Greer Stadium is ripe for development in the next few years. A little historical note: the empty area across from Dudley park at 4th and Chestnut used to be the site of the Purina Mills feed plant. My Grandfather worked for them and he would take me there as a kid..Eventually it needed more space and moved to it`s current location on Trousdale at Radnor yards.Davidnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372532189502857584.post-25072628150358296942012-07-24T06:51:48.466-05:002012-07-24T06:51:48.466-05:00Is the area called "Chestnut Hill" the s...Is the area called "Chestnut Hill" the same area or is this considered another neighborhood?jonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372532189502857584.post-75488252542608147342012-07-23T23:09:51.847-05:002012-07-23T23:09:51.847-05:00NNative,

But that could change with an infusion of visually interesting contemporary residential buildings (both single-family homes and multi-unit residential structures).

WWWilliam Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06478081230861320969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372532189502857584.post-11160182559292746632012-07-23T22:31:41.403-05:002012-07-23T22:31:41.403-05:00This is actually a pretty cool part of town with l...This is actually a pretty cool part of town with lots of potential. Great older buildings, walkable and close to downtown. It seems to have a nice scale. I think more development is hinging on what happens to the Sounds Stadium and the fairgrounds. Definitely keep an eye on this neighborhood.NASHNATIVEnoreply@blogger.com
